Our company origins started in 2015, when our founder had to make a very difficult decision of moving his 80 year old Spanish speaking father, Abraham, into a senior living community in Chicago because of his advanced dementia.
For the following 4 years, the journey was tough, difficult and socially lonely as they learned first-hand what senior living lacked for 1st generation residents & families. From staying connected with loved ones to cultural understanding of personal needs of a resident to meet holistic needs through food and social engagement. That’s where ConnectCareHero was born — to help senior living combat social isolation using culturally engaging programming.
Long before even needing a nursing home to take care of his dad, there were so many moments leading up to it that he could have used interventions and resources to keep him healthy and connected. Today ConnectCareHero not only helps senior living communities digitalize their activities departments but also works with other healthcare organizations to keep their older adults aging healthy in their home using culturally rich live virtual classes.
